Halloween is a big deal, not only for kids, but for adults too. And, picking the right Halloween costume can be tough. Do you want to go with something trendy, funny, classy, or something else?

And, if you're usually reserved, this is a great choice for Halloween.

Because no one will expect you to do it. And, since it's Halloween, there's a certain amount of leeway you can take with a costume, and then go back to being yourself the next day. For one night, pick that sexy costume, and leave everyone wondering for a year what stunt you'll pull next Halloween.

Second, there's a variety of French Maid costumes out there. There's the basic short skirt, black dress with white ruffles, ruffled cap, and feather duster. And, when you pair it with thigh highs, or even old fashioned stockings, and a killer pair of heels, you can diversify the costume even more. The best reason for choosing a French Maid is how often do you see them at parties, or out tric kor treating? Sure, you see references to them online, or on television and in movies, but how many people do you know that will actually dress up as one? We're going to be seeing Bella and Edward for years, along with The Na'vi from Avatar, and most of the common comic book heroes. Just look at the popular movies this year; those are where most costumes will be, along with the quintessential vampire, witch, and zombie costumes. But not French Maids.

Wearing a French Maid costume is like wearing a Spanish Dancer or Saloon Girl costume. Or dressing up as a Spartan Cheerleader from SNL. They're costumes you don't see often, but you should see more of. This costume is sexy, unusual, and you should be one.
